Just thought I’d drop a note and update everyone on ‘the plan.’ October is going to be a big month of content dropping on cineaptic.com. I’ve got 2 TB (AKA a metric shit ton) of footage from this summer all ready to be hacked, cut, spliced and otherwise brought to life with tunes that make you want to get out and ride. Footage from Hatteras, Triple S, Hood River, Eric Rienstra, Ian Daly, Dylan Thompson, Jake and Joby Cook, Brandon Shied, Jason Slezak, Dre, Hood River Slider Jam, park sessions on the sandbar and the coast. Skating, wakeskating, kiting, winching, wakeboarding. It’s all there.
So here’s how it’s gonna go down: I want to go through the whole XtReMe (yeah I went there) movie making process in a miniature, slightly drawn out but extremely free and accessible way. In short, that means you’ll be able to enjoy 2 trailers and at least 6 movie segments, for FREE, here at cineaptic.com. I’ll even make the original, full res .mov files available through Vimeo for your downloading enjoyment. Segments will be released, one per week, through the months of October and November. There will be no ads, no annoying popups, no email addresses exchanged and unfortunately no she-males exposed (props to the Rick Jensen vid, that was ridiculous. You guys killed it).
So, that’s the plan. Free vids of legit riding and no she-males. Deal?
Party Edit! AWSI Bash
So, after a little recovery and a very late night (followed by a very early downwinder on the new LF Varial, more later) I was able to finish up the final edit from the Liquid Force/Monster party last Thursday. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, but mostly just rad homies taking shots and getting down. Even the Mantis knew how to party Thursday night! Make sure to watch the edit all the way through to catch the Mantis having a little too much and getting agro at the end. Enjoy!

Two beers, one dude. ‘Nuff said. For those who weren’t able to make the AWSI Liquid Force/Monster kickoff party (rager) the other night, you pretty much missed out. But no worries! Tons of footage from the Urban Flora ‘Green Room’, dance floor action and even a praying mantis who knows how to get down was caught on camera. Good stuff. [9/17] Party of the Century

Today marks the kickoff of the AWSI trade show here in Hood River, and in true Hood River fashion we’re kicking it off with a HUGE party. Now, we’ve had some large parties in the past, but if everything goes right this one should trump them all, at least since I’ve been in HR. I’m not even gonna hype it. All I’m gonna say is that if you’re within 3 hours of Hood River, you should be here tonight. Stay tuned to cineaptic to catch the exclusive behind the scenes party edit! Right now I’m gonna get back to putting together the 20 foot tiki shelter, then we’ll be able to put up the scaffolding that will hold the DJ booth. BE THERE
Jon Harvey: Pro Longboarder (the lost interview)
What once was lost, is found! AKA I finally got a spare second to render this little gem of an interview out. Originally we were planning on shooting a lot more footage for what was going to be episode 2 of JHPL, but then JH had to bounce to Santa Cruz for sponsorship obligations and whatnot. Apparently the water is better down there. Anyways, I pretty much put this together from the extra footage from episode 1. Enjoy!
